The Historic South LA Black Cultural District celebrates the people, places, stories, and traditions that have shaped Black life in South Los Angeles. Designated by the State of California in 2025, the district brings together artists, businesses, cultural institutions, and community organizations to preserve and elevate this rich cultural legacy. Through events, storytelling, and community partnerships, the district connects residents and visitors to the culture that continues to thrive here.
